FAQ

Below we have a number of frequently asked questions about The Asylum Haunted Scream Park haunted attractions located in Louisville, Kentucky.  If you do not find your question below, simply contact  us.  We’d be happy to answer any questions you have.  Make sure you purchase your tickets online in 2011 and print your ticket right from home.  This will save you time at our attractions.

Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?

No.  Haunted houses are dark and everyone, especially the actors, get adjusted to the low light.  When your camera flash goes off, you are not only ruining other customers’ experience but your hurting our actors’/customers’ eyes. This includes Cellular phones, or other devices, that have any sort of flash or bright light on it.

Do you sell food, beverages and souvenirs at your attractions?

Yes. We sell everything from glow sticks to carnival food to t-shirts, hoodies, and other souvenirs. We DO NOT sell alcohol.

Will the actors touch us?

No. You will not be grabbed or touched by any actors unless it’s by accident, which does happen. We also ask that you DO NOT touch our actors or any staff members as well as the props and sets. Our actors are trained not to touch any customer for any reason!.

Where are the Attractions?

Click the “Directions” link at the top of all of our pages, to get a map to our attractions.

Can we be thrown out of the park for any reason?

Yes.  We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, smoking, drugs, alcohol, etc.  We have a list of rules that must be adhered to for your own safety and the safety of the other guests.  Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning.  However, you may be asked to leave.  It is in your best interest to behave accordingly, as there are no refunds.

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

No.  And you’re not allowed to bring them on any of our properties.

Are your attractions handicap accessible?

We have made every reasonable attempt to make our attractions handicap accessible.  There are a few areas which cannot be passed through by wheelchairs, however, we have created a way for a wheelchair to bypass those areas, while still enjoying the haunt.  The crowds can limit the accessibility and safety of handicapped individuals, so it is recommended to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening times or at least early in the night.  Anyone with a handicap wanting to tour the attractions should let the ticket booth know of any special instructions or needs upon arrival, as well as at the entrance to the haunts themselves.  Some of our attractions are tougher for handicapped individuals because of the outdoor terrain and the outdoor nature of the attraction.  Unwanted wear and tear can and will result on wheelchairs and/or other assisting devices, and therefore may not be recommended.  If you have a broken leg or other prior injuries or prior medical conditions, you should not enter the attractions or the Asylum Haunted Scream Park, especially and specifically during peak hours.  Please read and understand our warning prior to entry.  Entry is AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Can we be injured at your park?

We’ve never had any serious injuries at our attractions.  Make sure to follow the rules, specifically don’t run and you’ll be fine. Follow all the rules and do not stray from the main paths.  YOU MUST READ the WARNING page before you enter the attractions.  The warning signs are also displayed at each attraction, as well as on our website.  DO NOT ATTEND if you have medical conditions that might cause you an injury… DO NOT enter our attractions if you are prone to seizures or if you have ANY kind of respiratory conditions, especially asthma, heart conditions.  Do not enter if you have broken bones, casts or are pregnant.  Again, you must read and understand our warning signs before considering entry into our attractions.

Are your attractions open if it rains?

Absolutely!  Our attractions are partially indoors and partially outdoors and we have some of our waiting areas covered… besides, if it rains, it enhances the “freaky” factor (you just get wet). We also have attractions that are entirely indoor, or completed covered, so you can still have fun! We do have poncho’s available for sale, if you wish to reduce the wet factor. Note: It is theoretically possible for one of our attractions to be closed due to extreme weather, but we are here to scare you – and we intend to do that, even if we’re all soaking wet. Should you choose to come back a different night (prior to entering the haunt) your tickets will be honored.

How old does a child need to be (is it okay for younger kids)?

We have no age restrictions so long as the child is (a) accompanied by adult supervision, and (b) wants to go through on his/her own will with no one forcing him/her through.  All kids are different.  If you think your children will enjoy being scared, then bring them down.  Please use appropriate judgment, and remember there are no refunds.  Our attractions are not intended for younger audiences. We do generally recommend kids are at least 10 years of age.
